NEW YORK -- David Price cant control the trade speculation. Air Jordan 1 Uk . The opposing hitters, he can handle them just fine. Price came within one pitch of extending his remarkable strikeout streak, yet still did plenty to lead the resurgent Tampa Bay Rays over the New York Yankees 2-1 on a warm Tuesday night for their fourth straight victory. "Stay here, David," Rays manager Joe Maddon implored. James Loney hit a go-ahead home run in the sixth inning and the Rays matched their longest win string of the season. Derek Jeter tied Lou Gehrigs team record for doubles as the Yankees equaled their worst skid this year with their fourth loss in a row. Price (7-7) struck out nine -- he fanned at least 10 in each of his previous five starts, and was trying to join Pedro Martinez, Randy Johnson and Nolan Ryan as the only pitchers to accomplish the feat six straight times. "That wouldve been cool," Price said. The left-hander gave up four hits and was pulled after seven innings and 119 pitches. He fanned Francisco Cervelli for the second out in the bottom of the seventh, then got two strikes on both Yangervis Solarte and Brett Gardner, missed with a couple of close pitches and couldnt quite get strikeout No. 10. In 23 career starts against the Yankees, Price has never reached double digits in strikeouts. The Rays, who spent most of June with the worst record in the majors, have won six of seven. Their recent struggles had fueled talk that Tampa Bay might trade Price before the July 31 deadline. Price has said that the more the Rays win, the better chance he has of staying with his original club. "I just play ball," the 2012 AL Cy Young Award winner said. "Thats my job." Jake McGee pitched a perfect eighth and Grant Balfour worked around a pair of walks in the ninth for his 11th save in 13 chances. Maddon has gone to a closer-by-committee approach. He said he picked Balfour this time because of a bit of "karma" -- the manager saw the reliever walking his grandmother into the team hotel lobby earlier in the day. "True," Maddon said. Balfour said his grandmom, in her mid-80s, came from the familys home in Australia to see one game at Yankee Stadium. "Im sure she was happy I was able to get in tonight," Balfour said. New York (41-41) has dropped eight of 10. "The guys we have, theyve got to get it done. Thats the bottom line," Yankees manager Joe Girardi said. "As I said, its not just a couple of guys going, its a number of guys." "No one is going to feel sorry for you," he said. "No one has a magic potion. You just have to grind it out." It was 1-all when Loney hit the first pitch of the sixth from Hiroki Kuroda (5-6) into the Yankees bullpen in right-centre field. His fifth home run of the season gave him 11 RBIs in 14 games. The Rays took a 1-0 lead in the fourth. Matt Joyce and Evan Longoria opened with singles and, after Loney struck out, Logan Forsythe hit an RBI single. A wild throw on a rundown gave the Yankees a run in the bottom half. Jeter led off with his 534th career double and went to third on Jacoby Ellsburys single. Price trapped Ellsbury with a pickoff throw, but he was hit in the back by shortstop Ben Zobrists throw and Jeter scored. Zobrist is playing shortstop in place of regular starter Yunel Escobar, put on the disabled list before the game because of a sore right shoulder. NOTES: Yankees hitting coach Kevin Long was ejected in the sixth for arguing balls and strikes from the bench. ... Cervelli nearly tumbled over the dugout railing while catching Zobrists foul pop in the first. Maddon helped steady the backup catcher, who started in place of Brian McCann. In the ninth, McCann pinch hit and looked at strike three with a runner on first. After hitting just .221 with nine homers and 36 RBIs at the halfway mark, McCann said hes been "horrible" this season. An All-Star with Atlanta, he signed an $85 million, five-year deal with the Yankees. Girardi said it was just a regular day off for rest. "I believe hes going to hit," Girardi said. "At times, I think hes been a little anxious." ... Tampa Bay RF Kevin Kiermaier and a couple of Rays got into the World Cup spirit, dying their hair red, white and blue to support the U.S. soccer team. ... Rays RHP Jake Odorizzi (3-7, 4.14 ERA) starts against LHP Vidal Nuno (2-4, 5.42) in the series finale Wednesday afternoon. ... Johnson remains the last pitcher to strike out at least 10 in six consecutive starts. He did it in 2002 with Arizona. The record is eight in a row by Martinez in 1999 with Boston. Wholesale Air Jordan 1 Uk .com) - Manu Ginobili capped off a 26-point night with a go-ahead layup with 24 seconds left in overtime, with the basket giving the San Antonio Spurs a much-needed 95-93 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans. Hi Kerry, Im sure youve received many emails wondering what your take is on the Spezza goal that looked like Neil blatantly kicked it in while standing directly in the middle of the crease where, you know, usually a goalie is to make a save but couldnt be due to Neil being there! Thanks! Jon - Westfield, MA Jon:  Lets first ask Henrik Lundqvist what he thought of the scoring of the Sens second goal with .Winnipeg Jets 5 San Jose Sharks 4 (Shootout) – The Winnipeg Jets trailed 2-0 after the first period, 3-1 in the second and 4-3 in the third but perseverance paid off in a game that saw them fire 46 shots at Antti Niemi, the most shots the Sharks have allowed this season. The Jets have now won three straight games at home, three of their last four overall and for only the second time this season they have won back-to-back games. The Sharks meanwhile are 0-1-4 in their last five. Dan Boyle opened the scoring for San Jose on a power play and, despite having been outshot 10-3 at that point, the Sharks were up 1-0. Just 1:14 after that goal, Sharks centre Tomas Hertl broke in alone, scored his rookie leading 10th of the year and the first period ended 2-0 despite the Jets outshooting San Jose 15-9. At the 6:12 mark of the second period, Michael Frolik got the Jets on the board on a great pass from Matt Halischuk. It was Froliks fourth goal of the season, one more than he scored last year in the shortened season. That goal started a scoring spree as Tommy Wingels restored San Joses two goal lead 41 seconds later. With the goal, Wingels extended his point streak to six games. But, Dustin Byfuglien made it three goals in just 2:26 when he scored his first of the year to get the Jets back to within one. It has been an interesting few days for Chris Thorburn. Friday when it was announced that Byfuglien had scored his first, Thorburn was credited with his first point of the year. But when the goal was changed to Eric Tangradi, Thorburn lost his assist. Tonight, Thorburn was initially given an assist on Byfugliensgoal, but after video review, the assist was changed to, you guessed it, Tangradi. Before the second period came to an end, Grant Clitsome also scored his second of the year to tie the game. Clitsome had two assists to go along with his goal for his second career three point game. There was plenty of energy in the MTS Centre for this one, as the shots after two periods were 32-21 in favour of the Jets. Nothing seems to come easy to the Jets though as Byfuglien was given a delay of game penalty at the buzzer for shooting the puck over the glass with a couple seconds left. The Jets killed that penalty, but could not kill a tripping call on Halischuk and again found themselves behind. The Jets were short-handed three times in the third,, with the power plays at the end of the night favouring San Jose six to two. Cheap Air Jordan 1 Online. . The Sharks lead the NHL in power play chances while the Jets are second in the NHL in total short-handed situations. With the period winding down, and Ondrej Pavelec starting to make his way out of the net, Bryan Little found Andrew Ladd in the slot and his quick release found the back of the net to tie the game at four. It was Ladds fifth goal of the season. The final shots after regulation and overtime were 46-34, with both goalies being forced to make big saves. Ladd put one off the post in overtime, before being the only player to score in the three-round shootout to earn the Jets their eighth win of the year. The Jets are now 6-5-1 at home. It was Ladds fourth shootout goal of the season and fifth career shootout winner, second this year. In his career, Ladd is now 10 for 20. Patrick Marleau did score in overtime but the goal was called back as the officials ruled Wingels had interfered with Pavelec. There was no penalty on the play, but the goal was disallowed. The Jets are now 3-1 in the shootout and are a perfect six for six over the last two shootouts, Pavelec replied a quick "no" on the TSN Jets post-game show about perhaps liking that part of the game a little bit more. With the two assists, Little now has five goals and nine points in the last seven games, Ladd now has 12 points in 13 career games against San Jose and has two goals and eight points in his last six games. The Jets will play in Detroit Tuesday (TSN, TSN 1290), then at home against Philadelphia Friday (TSN Jets, TSN 1290). It is the second meeting of the season with the Red Wings after a  4-2 win for the Jets last Monday. Jets coach Claude Noel had reason to smile after this one. "The outcome was great, we played a strong game. We battled back, didnt lose our focus or our hope. Never got rattled, where a week or two back we might have. Its a huge building block in a lot of different ways. We played with some heart, some passion. I really enjoyed the game," He said. The Jets played their style for the win. "We were good on the fore-check and put pucks to the net," continued Noel. "They dont give you much. We played hard." On Ladds game, "he has a sneaky wrist shot and his will to win is infectious."
